2020 Roussanne

Overview

Roussanne is one of the main white wine grapes grown in the Rhone region of France and is one of the grapes allowed to be used in a blend in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It's primarily used as a blending grape, offering up beautiful floral aromatics and flavors as well as peaches, nectarines, and pear, but also can stand alone nicely. We use our Estate Roussanne as the main grape in our Madonne Blanc white Rhone blend, and have been growing this grape on our property since 2006. In special vintages, like 2020, where we find the Roussanne is exceptional on its own, we bottle a very small amount. 16 cases were produced.
