** New Release ** Methode Champenoise Brut Sparkling Wine from Sonoma County.
Charbono tends to be a big bold red wine, sort of like a Bordeaux. This vintage showcases aromas of blackberry, plum and black pepper. The palate is right in line with flavors of currant and blackberry, pepper and maybe a touch of black licorice on the finish.
Another powerhouse from the venerable Besson vineyard, planted in 1924. Fresh cherry, plum and floral black berry are accented by notes of mocha, black pepper and cinnamon. The palate gives an impression of a floral cherry and plum pie with a dash of soy sauce.
** New Release **
Blueberry, cherry cola and cedar aromas and flavors, with a hint of cinnamon vanilla on a peppery finish with coffee bean notes. Pair this wine with a rosemary lamb shank.
A legendary local's-only Merlot blended with Charbono and Cabernet Sauvignon. Lots of berry cherry aroma and flavor, with a darker moodier complex finish showing smoky cocoa, black pepper and allspice. A great match for pork, perhaps braised pork belly with rhubarb glaze. Very limited supply.
Classic Merlot nose with blackberry-cherry, plum, casses, a touch of tobacco and peppery cinnamon. The flavors follow through in perfect harmony. Good with any hearty meat dish, but try in with ratatouille or pasta.
