Our Sarah's Vineyard Rosé is a dry pink wine made from Grenache grapes grown entirely on our Home Vineyard. It emulates the exquisite, finely balanced rosés from Provence in southern France.
For rosé, the red wine grapes are typically harvested early, to supply bright acidity and just a hint of color. We hand-picked our fruit in the early morning; we “whole cluster pressed” at a gentle max of 1.2 barr pressure - just enough to draw the desired salmon color off the skins. After fermentation, the wine was matured in neutral French oak cooperage for three months.
