Our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2014 vintage is a special wine for us. Designated for our Reserve Circle Members, it is a tribute to the early wine growing days of our region. Cabernet Sauvignon was one of the first vines planted in the Sant Clara Valley well before the Civil War. At Sarah's, we take pride in helping to recall and establish the S.C.V.'s reputation for growing great Cabernet Sauvignon.
Balanced red and black fruit with a touch of earthy floral and cedar notes, along with a combination of cinnamon cookies and star anise. The palate compliments the fruit aromas with a touch of pepper, and leather. For pairings, think beef rib roast and vegetables.
We gently de-stemmed whole berries into small fermentors, cold soak for 3 days, and allowed a native robust fermentation.
